This week, I finally got time to respond to feedback on my tasks and improve my work. After looking back at the first couple of tasks, I completed, I found it fascinating to see how rapidly I’ve changed as a coder and how I’ve become more organised and methodical as the weeks have passed.

I had not completed exercise one of task 2, the audio website research task, because I had gotten behind when it was the appropriate time and then got distracted with other tasks and work. So, I completed it this week. In the future, I hope to stay on top of things better and commit to staying organised, but I appreciate the time university life gives to catch up and make mistakes on these sorts of things.

It did get a little frustrating researching all these websites and seeing lots of cool things I would have wanted to use as inspiration for my own website tasks, but I had already completed them and did not have time to go back.

One of the websites I chose for the task was Girl Jams. It was made in partnership with the organisation Girls Who Code,  an international nonprofit organisation that aims to support and increase the number of women in computer science. This is why it caught my eye, as I am a ‘girl who codes’ and attended a very feminist all-girls high school, where women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), especially computer science, were highly encouraged. It made me happy to see this website and strengthed my motivation to get my degree.
