This week, we had our first group tutorial, where I got to see what everyone had been working on and show my own work, too. It was fascinating to see how different everyone’s artwork was, even though we were all completing the same task. Presenting my work was a bit nerve-racking, especially after seeing that everyone else had finished their grid task when I was still in the experimentation phase of my artwork. But it was nice to get recognition and feedback from the rest of the group and Jamie. It helped me to realize that I didn’t really need to do much else to finish my piece. This was useful as I often get caught up thinking I need to do more than I need to in practical work, which makes me easily fall behind on written work. This a habit I’m hoping to break by completing the requirements for an assessment first and writing down my extra ideas/extensions to do later when I have spare time.

Originally, I got help from Phind to make my grid interactive, when I thought that I would have a different version for my final piece. So, to make sure I really understood what every line of code did, when writing out my documentation, I re-coded it, going through step by step and researching things I didn’t quite understand.

Following last week’s group project, we got to preparing our presentation. It was nice to reflect back on what we had achieved and explain parts of our project that people might not have noticed at the expedition. Luckily for me, one of my other project members agreed to speak for me, as I find that difficult. To help him, I wrote out detailed notes about the slides I had made.
